Ismail Eş holds a B.Sc. in bioengineering with an M.Sc. degree in genetics and molecular biology. He obtained his PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Campinas. His research has covered diverse areas, including microfluidics, biopolymers, nanotechnology, and gene/drug delivery. He has worked as an honorary research associate at the UCL Biochemical Engineering Department, concentrating on tumor-on-a-chip models, and as a post-doc at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where he developed microfluidic systems for AAV vector production. At the National Nanotechnology Research Center of Turkey, his work encompassed microfluidics, microneedles, biopolymers, and spheroids. Currently, he is engaged in wearable and implantable electronic devices at the University of Oxford, Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
