Dr Bradley Segal is a Rhodes Scholar and DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford’s Institute of Biomedical Engineering. A medical doctor by training, he graduated with distinction from the University of the Witwatersrand while simultaneously completing an MSc in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on deep learning applications in medical imaging. His research spans from developing synthetic chest X-rays using generative adversarial networks to AI-driven risk prediction models for HIV seroconversion.

As a practicing physician in South Africa’s public healthcare sector, Bradley has firsthand experience in resource-constrained environments, which has shaped his approach to healthcare innovation. He has co-founded multiple healthcare technology ventures and led the development of large-scale patient analytics platforms tracking over a million patients.

Bradley is passionate about shaping the future of medical practice through artificial intelligence, with a focus on creating equitable and accessible healthcare solutions.
