I am a doctoral student within the Podium Institute for Sports Medicine and Technology. My research focusses on developing novel technologies to assist in the prevention of musculoskeletal injuries in youth and elite athletes. I am particularly interested in developing a screening protocol to identify early-stage cam morphology in adolescent sports people. This utilises novel imaging technologies to non-invasively understand hip joint kinematics and avoid skin tissue artefacts which are often seen in larger 3D motion capture systems.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with a master’s degree in Bioengineering. I specialised in tissue engineering, sports medicine and orthopaedic implantation surgeries. Since then I have worked in automotive engineering at Aston Martin Lagonda – working on cars such as, the DB12 and Valkyrie. Most recently, I have worked for Swim England, the country’s national governing body for aquatic sports. I am also interested in politics and how my research can inform future policy to improve the lives of young athletes.
