Olivia studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Reading. She is a student on the EPSRC SABS R³ CDT: Sustainable Approaches to Biomedical Science: Responsible & Reproducible Research Center for Doctoral Training, an interdisciplinary doctoral program, in partnership with industry, developing the next generation of leading computational biologists. Olivia has taken on teaching roles in a number of departments across the university. Alongside research and teaching, Olivia has worked on EDI and student welfare at both the college and divisional levels.

Olivia is currently working on her DPhil research. In her DPhil she is exploring the use of smartphone sensors to monitor the progression of multiple sclerosis.
