Wenfei is a DPhil student in the Computational Health Informatics (CHI) Lab at the University of Oxford. She earned a Master of Engineering in Mathematics and Computer Science at Imperial College London in 2022. She developed a virtual chatbot for self-attachment techniques (SAT) teaching based on attachment theory and self-attachment therapy for her thesis.

Wenfei’s research interests include machine learning and non-invasive health monitoring and diagnosis technologies. During her undergraduate degree, she undertook an industrial placement at the Institute of High-Performance Computing in the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, working on MRI to CT translation and explainable AI. She then spent a year after graduation working as a research engineer at the Institute for Infocomm Research. She focused on EEG-based mental fatigue detection using machine learning.

Wenfei was awarded the National Science Scholarship (BS-PhD) for her outstanding academic and research achievements.
