Human-AI Collaboration

Human-AI collaboration (HAIC) is an emerging area of AI that studies how humans and artificial intelligence work together to produce outcomes superior to each other’s complementary strengths. The AI may be the assistant, peer or tutor to the human. Such systems require the AI to know how to interact with a human, offer explainability, and to function correctly, safely and responsibly. HAIC also requires understanding how human behaviour may change in response to a HAIC system. We are working on developing imaging HAIC methods and systems underpinning these capabilities and healthcare use cases.
