Jingxiu (Mathew) Huang (he/him) is a PHD student at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering, supervised by Prof Daniel Bulte. He is working on the EyeBrain Project, developing a pilot tool to measure cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) more easily and using it as a biomarker to flag and categorise people at risk of cognitive decline earlier, drawing on medical imaging and machine learning.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master of Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Biomedicine.
- Cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR)
- Medical imaging
- Machine learning and AI for biomedical research
- Neurodegenerative disease
- Biosignal processing
- Biomedical device development
