Computational Modelling
Computer models have evolved to become an important part of medical research, from basic biomedical sciences to clinical applications, including the development of new treatments. Newly developed, data-based AI technologies combine very well with traditional models based on biophysical knowledge.
We are developing methods that combine these two approaches to build Digital Twins, i.e. representations of individual subjects combining all available data, which can then be used to estimate risk, predict disease outcomes or optimise treatment selection.
